Ordnance Survey is a business with a £120-million turnover. It has 1,400 staff of which 1,100 are based at its Southampton headquarters. As a "trading fund" owned by the Government, it is self-financing and highly autonomous, operating in an increasingly competitive commercial marketplace for geographic data. Ordnance Survey is a diverse organisation and it is an exciting time to be joining, as it continues its drive towards becoming ever more dynamic, agile and competitive.
