Business Controller

The Business Controller will provide financial expertise to Management involved in a particular unit/business line/division and to ensure Profit & Loss account and Operating sections of the balance sheet are reasonably stated. The purpose is to provide senior management with a clear outlook of the main business relationships of the company.

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Act within the framework of the financial annual plan, following company rules and guidelines.

· Provides strategic guidance to management on all facets of finance or is specialized in one of the financial areas of expertise.

· Responsible for the proper recording, allocation and certifying of all financial information within given time limit following company rules and guidelines.

· Accountable for the monitoring of processes and procedures and identify areas in need on process correction.

· Respond to very complex financial enquiries in a timely manner with concise explanations where required.

· Accountable for appropriate internal reporting on a monthly basis for all management to reflect business performance, key trends and analysis.

· Responsible for managing all financial issues relating to the unit's/business line's/division's Customers & Suppliers including appropriate liaison between departments to ensure commercial issues are resolved in a timely manner.

· Responsible for appropriate system developments impacting the unit's/business line/division's business.

· Accountable for the compilation and analysis of statistics and costs to determine pricings for new business/projects.

· Initiate and lead ad-hoc projects as required.

· Manage effectively all reporting staff including objective setting, regular appraisals and personal development planning.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate will hold a degree ideally coupled with a professional accountancy qualification and around 5 years' relevant work experience.

You will demonstrate outstanding communication skills and commercial awareness. You will be naturally focused on deadlines and have strong planning and analytical capabilities.
