Financial Controller jobs
A Financial Controller is a senior role managing the Finance Department; responsible for the systems, processes, controls and reporting output of the department. The Financial Controller reports into the Financial Director and plays a key part in the senior finance team. As the Financial Controller you will need to acquire a detailed understanding of the business ensuring adequacy of and compliance with Group financial processes and controls. You will also support the Finance Director with providing commercial acumen for the board and CEO of the company. The Financial Controller will also be expected to step into the Finance Director role during periods of absence.
Typical tasks include:
· Ownership of the balance sheet
· Incisive analysis and reporting of the business performance
· Delivering monthly management accounting and analysis, forecasts and budgets
· To manage statutory, legislative and group requirements placed on the finance department including VAT, Corporation Tax and PAYE compliance
· Engagement will all elements of the operational business contributing to the long term commercial development of the company, including the identification of revenue opportunities, cost reduction or efficiency and risk avoidance
· Provide advice and opinions on driving the commercial business to success
